MediaFiler’s fifth successive year of CIPR Excellence sponsorship

MediaFiler sponsored the Healthcare Campaign category at the 2013 CIPR Excellence Awards held on the 3rd June at the London Hilton on Park Lane in front of over 800 PR professionals.

The evening was hosted by BAFTA award winning TV personality Matt Baker, remembered by the younger PR members as a BBC TV Blue Peter presenter.

Big names were finalists this year; the British Heart Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, NHS Midland & East, Stripe Communications & the Scottish Government, The Red Consultancy & NHS Blood and Transplant, but the award went to Unity & Cancer Research UK for their campaign R UV UGLY?

The winning campaign was aimed at getting youngsters to side step a potential skin cancer threat caused by sunbed use, the campaign played on ‘looks’. A photo booth travelled the country dispensing passport pictures which took UV images, revealing any skin damage. The majority of participants said they would think twice before using a sunbed again.
